The first chance of the match came in the 6th minute and fell to Como Women: Nischler surged forward at pace, cut inside with a double feint and finished from the centre of the box, but De Jong was alert and saved comfortably. Juventus responded in the 14th minute with Walti, who attempted a left-footed low shot from the edge of the area, but her effort went well wide of Gilardi’s goal.
At the 18th minute, the Lariane created another opportunity with Berisha, who tried her luck from distance on the counterattack, sending the ball just wide, grazing the outside of the right post. Como Women continued to push forward and in the 28th minute Pavan became a threat after combining with Nischler, but her shot from the edge of the area was central.
A minute later Juventus went close to taking the lead through Girelli, who turned sharply in a tight space inside the six-yard box and struck left-footed, with the ball narrowly missing the post to the right of Gilardi.
The deadlock was broken in the 41st minute: Carbonell received the ball on the left side of the penalty area and struck with her left foot, with a slight and unfortunate deflection off Marcussen wrong-footing Gilardi and giving Juventus the lead.
In stoppage time of the first half, Como Women requested an FVS review for a suspected handball in the Juventus penalty area. After reviewing the incident on the monitor, the referee decided not to award a penalty. The first half ended with Juventus leading 1–0.
Como Women came out with great determination after the break. In the 48th minute, Berisha tested De Jong with a header from inside the box following a cross from the right by Madsen, forcing the Juventus goalkeeper to tip the ball out for a corner.
From the resulting corner kick, the hosts went close again to equalising, this time through Cecotti, who headed at the near post but failed to hit the target.
In the 67th minute, another chance fell to Como Women as Nischler struck right-footed from the right side of the area, but De Jong once again denied her. Shortly afterwards, Berisha tried from the left side of the box, but her placed effort flew over the crossbar.
At the 68th minute Juventus attempted a shot from distance with Tatiana Pinto, but her effort did not trouble the goal. In the 73rd minute, the Bianconere appeared to double their lead when Pinto scored with a header from a cross by Godo, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul by Godo on Cecotti.
Juventus eventually made it 2–0 in the 81st minute: substitute Krumbiegel anticipated the Como Women defence and headed home from close range following an accurate cross from the right by Thomas, also introduced from the bench.
The scoreline remained unchanged in the closing stages, and the match ended 2–0 in favour of Juventus.
Como Women will return to action on Saturday 14 February at 12:30, once again at the Stadio Ferruccio in Seregno, hosting Sassuolo.
