Commercial Director

Role Overview
The Commercial Director (CD) will be responsible for developing and executing FC Como Women’s revenue-generation strategy across all business and commercial functions. This is a senior leadership role, directly reporting to the CEO, with a mandate to maximize commercial growth, strengthen brand equity, and unlock new revenue streams. The CD will oversee partnership, ticketing, merchandising and licensing, marketing, social media and content development, ensuring alignment with Mercury13 and the Club’s long-term vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue growth plan across all commercial verticals specifically; partnerships, merchandising, licensing, ticketing and hospitality, and innovative media rights
- Lead all business development activities with a sharp focus on driving commercial revenue
- Drive growth, innovation in fan engagement and digital monetization in line with M13 Group strategy
Commercial Partnerships
- Identify, negotiate, and secure new commercial partners for the Club, working closely with M13 CRO on international partnerships
- Manage new partner multi-years agreements and renewals, ensuring top activation deliverables
- Collaborate with M13 to align strategy with broader objectives, processes and infrastructure across portfolio
Audience & Brand Growth
- Lead the Club’s marketing functions to grow the brand, fan base and market presence
- Develop integrated campaigns to increase visibility and community engagement.
- Oversee Club digital and social media strategy, aligned to M13 strategic plans, to maximize reach and engagement to support commercial agenda
Revenue Operations & Management
- Establish clear revenue targets and performance KPIs in alignment with Group CRO
- Build and lead commercial and marketing team pushing high performance and standards that transform FCCW into a League defining Club
- Work closely with finance and operations to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in senior revenue-generating roles within professional sports (football not mandatory)
- Strong background in partnership sales and management
- Proven experience in audience growth
- Deep understanding of the media and sports ecosystem, preferably in Europe
- Excellent team management
- Negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in Italian and proficient in English
