F.C. Como Women visits FIDAS Imperia: where sport meets solidarity

During their training camp in western Liguria, F.C. Como Women visited the FIDAS Blood Collection Unit in Imperia to support and promote the importance of blood donation.

The team and coaching staff were welcomed on the morning of Thursday, September 17, by representatives of FIDAS. The visit provided an opportunity to learn more about the association’s activities and raise awareness of the value of blood donation — a simple, tangible gesture in service of the community.

The initiative was organised through the cooperation between F.C. Como Women, FIDAS Imperia and entrepreneur Denis Muca, and is part of the programme of activities accompanying the team’s training camp in Liguria from September 16 to 18, as they prepare for the start of the league season.

Some members of the coaching staff chose to turn the visit into a concrete gesture by donating blood at the facility.

“It’s something we managed to organise in a short amount of time,” explained head coach Paolo Tramezzani. “Our club is very committed to supporting initiatives like this and, whenever there is an opportunity to support associations that do good, that carry out meaningful work and that represent our values, it is a great pleasure for us to be here today and do our part.”

The visit to FIDAS also represented an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the Club and the local community hosting the training camp, in a setting where sport and social responsibility came together through a message of great importance.

“We are having a very positive experience here. It is an area I know particularly well, also thanks to my friendship with Denis, who made it possible for us to come here,” added the coach. “I hope there will be other opportunities and chances to return in the future.”

F.C. Como Women would like to thank FIDAS Imperia for its warm welcome and for its daily commitment to promoting blood donation, as well as everyone who contributed to making this initiative possible.
