The words of Stefano Sottili on the eve of Como Women vs AC Milan
After the victory against Ternana, Como Women are preparing to face AC Milan in the sixth matchday of the Serie A Women Athora. The match is scheduled for tomorrow, 15 November, at 6:00 p.m. at the Ferruccio Stadium in Seregno.
On the eve of the game, head coach Stefano Sottili shared his analysis and feelings ahead of the match.
On analysing the opponent and preparing for the game: "These are the kind of matches you must enjoy playing, against teams that are performing well and have all the qualities to be at the top of the table. There is a strong desire to measure ourselves against a prestigious side, fully aware that we are facing a very strong team. To achieve a positive result, we will need to produce an important performance.”
"When you analyse an opponent, you always try to evaluate both their strengths and weaknesses. Milan have many qualities, especially in the offensive phase: they have technique, pace, the ability to make runs and great efficiency in transitions. We will need to be good at exploiting their few weaknesses.”
On the feelings during the week: "I have seen a lot of balance within the team. We need the maturity to manage everything well, both positive and negative results. Compared to last season, I have noticed greater awareness and better emotional control—elements that allow us to prepare for matches with more serenity. Even after the defeats, we had already seen balance from the players. This is a group made up of both young and more experienced players, and this mix is showing an excellent balance. It is something I really appreciate.”
