“The coach asked us to show character and personality, and I think we showed all of that today. We feel his complete trust in us: he tells us to enjoy ourselves and play with courage, because the results will follow as a consequence. I think we proved that today. We had to suffer at times as well, but that shows how united we are as a group.”

Paolo Tramezzani's analysis
“It was a complicated match: our opponents also played a good game. They’re a tricky team that needs points, so these are always difficult matches for many reasons. In the first half, technically, we made some good plays and found interesting solutions. At the start of the second half, the match changed: more space opened up for both teams. It became a game to control a bit less and to attack again more quickly compared to the first 45 minutes. We did that fairly well, taking some risks and conceding a few open-field plays, but I’m happy because we knew the dangers and were aware it could turn into a tough match. In the moments when an extra run was needed and when we had to dig in a bit more, the girls did it. I had asked for personality and a display of character: for many reasons, I can say I’m satisfied. They manage to bring onto the pitch what they work on during the week, and that makes me happy for them. I’m also pleased because several of them will go on international duty and there will be a long break. We’ll try to make the most of it as we continue our journey until the end of the season.”
