“I think we created a lot today and had plenty of chances, but we weren’t able to take them. It’s a shame because against Juventus, if you don’t score, it becomes difficult. Just like last week, we were 1-0 down for a large part of the game, but we fought until the end and can be proud of our performance. The result is disappointing, but there are many positives and plenty of important indications ahead of our next game. It hurts a little today, but from tomorrow we’ll get straight back to work and move forward.”

Laura Brambilla's statements

“First of all, as always, I want to congratulate the girls because we played our first competitive match a week ago and, after just one week of work, we have already seen huge improvements. This shows that we are working in the right way and heading in the right direction during the week. The girls always put a lot of effort into training, and during matches you can see how much of the good work they do throughout the week comes through.

We are very pleased, particularly with the way we handled the ball under their pressure. We played out with a lot of quality and fluidity in the build-up, and this also allowed us to create several goalscoring opportunities in transition.

We leave this stadium disappointed not to have taken at least a point, and that was by no means a given, because based on the performance we put in against this opponent, we deserved to get something more from the game.”
