Primavera 2 Championship: Vicenza and Como Women draw 0–0

In Group A of the Primavera 2 Championship, Como Women’s U19 side played away against Vicenza.

Head coach Riccardo Panzeri commented on the match, which ended 0–0: “In the first half we were a bit nervous against a team that was sitting deep with a very low block. We created a lot, hit the crossbar and wasted important chances. In the second half we settled down and pinned them back in their own box, but we lacked quality in the final 30 meters: we hit the crossbar again and missed some huge chances. We were in total control and didn’t concede anything, but in football if you don’t score, you don’t win. We had prepared the match to limit their transitions and we managed to do that, but we need to be more clinical in front of goal. We’ll keep working: these are experiences that will help us grow.”

The Lariane’s next fixture will be at home on Saturday, March 14, against Bologna at the “Carlo Tavecchio” Municipal Stadium in Ponte Lambro (CO).
