Campionato Primavera 2, Como Women fall 2–1 in the derby against Como 1907

On Matchday 9 of Group A of the Primavera 2 Championship, the U19 team coached by Riccardo Panzeri were beaten 2–1 in the derby against Como 1907, with goals from De Rossi and L’Abbruzzi. Gelbhart scored for Como Women.

This was the post-match comment from assistant coach Manuel Della Marca: “It was a great performance by the girls. For long stretches of the match we dominated play, showing quality, intensity and great team spirit. The result does not reflect what we saw on the pitch. Unfortunately, we conceded the goal that put them ahead shortly after being reduced to ten players — an incident that inevitably affected the course of the game — but the team never stopped fighting until the final whistle. We are proud of them, of their attitude and of the performance they delivered. This is the right path: we must continue to work as we always do, with seriousness and confidence, because performances of this level are sooner or later rewarded.”
