Como Women defeated Parma 1–0 at the “Il Noce” stadium in Noceto (PR) in the eighth matchday of Serie A Women Athora, thanks to Madsen’s goal in the 85th minute.

The home side tried to take the initiative right away and, after just three minutes, came close to scoring with Distefano, who found space to strike a right-footed shot from distance, sending the ball just wide of the left post. Como Women reacted and, in the 13th minute, created their first real chance when Nischler unleashed a shot from outside the box that forced Ceasar into a save under the crossbar. Parma grew back into the game in the 16th minute, when Zamanian intercepted a short back-pass from Rizzon and attempted a left-footed effort from the edge of the area, which, however, went over Gilardi’s crossbar. As the minutes went by, Como Women gained confidence and produced the best opportunity of the first half in the 37th minute: Nischler spotted Bergersen’s run on the left and served her perfectly in space. The Norwegian forward burst into the box and found herself one-on-one with Ceasar, but her low shot drifted just wide. The first half closed at 0–0.

In the second half, Parma threatened again in the 59th minute with Pondini, whose long-range attempt missed the target by a small margin. The hosts kept pushing and in the 68th minute went close once more with Bou, whose left-footed strike from the left side of the area rolled just wide of the far post. Como Women responded immediately: Kerr, only moments after coming on, created danger down the right and tried a left-footed shot, but the Parma defence managed to block it. Sottili’s team increased their pressure, and in the 79th minute Nischler attempted to surprise Ceasar with a free kick from the left, sending a teasing ball toward the far post that none of her teammates could get on the end of. In the 84th minute, Como Women nearly broke the deadlock from a corner, with Cecotti finding a shooting chance inside the area and Ceasar reacting well to save. Just seconds later, however, Madsen struck from 25 metres with a powerful and accurate right-footed shot that caught the Parma goalkeeper off guard, putting the Lariane ahead 1–0. In the closing minutes, Como Women held their shape and resisted Parma’s final pushes, securing a precious victory—their fifth win in eight matches—which lifts them to 15 points in the league table.

The next match for Stefano Sottili’s side is scheduled for Saturday, 13 December at 12:30 p.m., when Fiorentina will visit the Ferruccio Stadium in Seregno.
