Towards Genoa–Como Women: Paolo Tramezzani’s Pre-Match Statements

Como Women are preparing for their match against Genoa, scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. at the “La Sciorba” stadium in Genova. On the eve of the game, head coach Paolo Tramezzani previewed the fixture as follows:

“It was great to return to winning ways against Sassuolo. That victory allowed us to leave behind some of the worries, anxieties, and insecurities that negative results inevitably bring. Even in the previous matches, though, the team had always delivered good performances. Now we want to find greater consistency, both in our results and in our performances on the pitch.”

Looking ahead to the clash with Genoa, the coach warned about the challenges of the match: “We’re facing a good team that needs points and tends to start very strongly. For that reason, we’ll have to match their determination and their approach. We must take to the field with awareness, knowing we are a good team, but also with great attitude and the desire to react to difficulties — always together.”

During the week, the focus was mainly on the mental aspect and the approach to the match: “We talked a lot about the importance of finding the right motivation. We know it won’t be an easy game. I expect important responses in terms of game management, character, and personality — without overthinking it, but interpreting the match in the right way from the very first minutes.”
