At the end of the match, Matilde Pavan, scorer of Como Women’s second goal, and Laura Brambilla, the team’s match analyst, shared their thoughts on the performance and the important victory.

Matilde Pavan’s words

“I’m very happy to have found the goal again, and doing it wearing this shirt makes it even more special. It’s a great satisfaction both personally and for the team: we played a high-level match, and I believe this win is fully deserved.
We still have to work on managing the different moments of the game, but today we showed great composure until the end, defending our lead and bringing home three important points.”

Laura Brambilla’s analysis

“Up until the first goal, we created many chances with great quality — that’s something we’ve been working on a lot, and we’re really pleased with how the girls performed. They interpreted the match very well, putting into practice what we’ve been training throughout the week.
After the second goal, however, we weren’t able to maintain the same level of quality in our play, and that’s certainly an area where we need to improve: continuing to push forward even when we’re in the lead and learning to manage the game more effectively, both technically and emotionally.”

“We must build on these three points, which give us confidence and morale. We know that in the Sassuolo match we could have done something more, regardless of the final result, but our focus always remains on performance. Beyond the aspects we still need to improve, today we take home positive feelings, confidence, and the awareness of having moved up the standings in a very balanced league, where every team can get results against anyone. Now we’ll focus on our next match against Ternana, which we know will be a tough opponent, especially at home. It will be a challenging game, and we’ll need to be ready.”
