The first big chance came in the 18th minute, when Bernardi broke into the box from the right and took a shot that was blocked by the Genoa defense. The rebound fell to Nischler, who from a central position sent the ball over the crossbar. Just a few seconds later, Madsen tried her luck from 25 meters out, narrowly missing the target. Como Women kept pressing, and in the 22nd minute Madsen once again threatened with a dangerous cross-shot from the right that struck the crossbar, catching Forcinella off guard.
In the 26th minute, another opportunity for the Lariane arrived through Kramzar, set up by Nischler on the edge of the area, but her shot flew over the bar. Moments later, Kramzar tried again with a fine volley on the turn, but this time as well the ball went wide.
The breakthrough for Sottili’s side came in the 30th minute, when Bernardi was brought down in the box by Lipman. The referee awarded a penalty and booked the Genoa defender. After a VAR check requested by De La Fuente, the decision was confirmed. Nischler stepped up to the spot and coolly converted, giving Como Women a 1–0 lead in the 34th minute.
In stoppage time of the first half came the second goal, scored by Pavan. A brilliant play down the right by Madsen ended with a low cross into the box, where Nischler and Kramzar cleverly let the ball run. At the far post, Pavan arrived to finish with her left foot, slotting the ball into the net for 2–0. The Lariane thus went into the break with a two-goal advantage.

In the 61st minute, Kramzar nearly made it 3–0 with an audacious attempt from long range, trying to catch Forcinella—who was off her line—by surprise with a shot from midfield. The Genoa goalkeeper managed to recover just in time and tip the ball out for a corner.
Despite the home side’s dominance, Genoa managed to pull one back in the 78th minute with their first real chance of the match. Cinotti met a cross from the left, controlled the ball in the box, and beat Gilardi from close range to make it 2–1.
In the closing minutes, the Lariane almost restored their two-goal advantage when Kerr, in the 89th minute, found herself one-on-one with Forcinella but struck the post. Genoa pressed forward in search of an equaliser, and De La Fuente called for a VAR check for a possible handball in the area. After reviewing the play, however, the referee confirmed the original decision and allowed play to continue.
Como Women managed the final minutes with composure and secured a well-deserved 2–1 victory, climbing to six points in the standings. The next league fixture for Como Women will take place on Sunday, November 9, at 12:30 p.m. against Ternana at the Stadio Moreno Gubbiotti in Narni (TR).
