Born in Sydney in 1999, Chidiac is embarking on her first experience in the Italian league, bringing with her an impressive background of international experience. Despite her young age, she is already regarded as one of the most prominent figures in Australian women’s football and is a regular member of the senior national team.
Her professional career began in 2014 with Adelaide United and has seen her play a leading role with several top clubs: from winning the title with Melbourne City in the historic 2015/16 season, to claiming the championship in Spain with Atlético Madrid (2018/19), as well as gaining experience in Japan (JEF United Chiba), the United States (Racing Louisville), and Mexico (Tigres UANL). With Melbourne Victory, she also won the Championship and was awarded the prestigious Julie Dolan Medal as the league’s best player of the season.
“I’m very happy to have joined F.C. Como Women. Playing in Italy has always been one of my goals: I’ve long wanted to immerse myself in the beauty of the culture and lifestyle, and to compete in a league that really suits my playing style,” said the Australian midfielder in her first words as a Como Women player. “Ever since the club’s relaunch, I’ve followed its journey with great interest and have always appreciated its full commitment to women’s football.”
