Born in Cremona on 13 October 1998, Capelletti began her career with Mozzanica and Inter before continuing her development at Tavagnacco. She brings with her significant experience gained with Empoli and Parma, where she played four seasons across Serie A and Serie B. In 2022, she stood out as the goalkeeper with the highest number of saves in the calendar year in Serie A and was also named Best Under-23 Goalkeeper of the 2021/2022 season by APPORT (the Italian Association of Goalkeeper Coaches). Her career also includes several call-ups to Italy’s youth national teams, at Under-19 and Under-23 level.
“I’m really happy to be here at Como,” Capelletti said. “I know it’s never easy to make a decision midway through the season, but I feel this is the right place for me at this stage of my career. It’s an environment that can offer me great opportunities, and I can’t wait to work with the girls to build something special. I believe this team has great potential and I want to do my part to help it express that to the fullest.”
She added: “I’m also happy to reunite with some former teammates I grew up with and shared important moments of my career with, from Cecotti to Rizzon, as well as Vaitukaityte and Pavan. I’m joining a group that I already partly know, and that makes my integration even more special.”
