The Women’s Cup: comments from Sporting Director Miro Keci
At the end of the Women’s Cup semifinal against Juventus Women, Como Women’s Sporting Director Miro Keci commented on the club’s latest transfer moves and shared some thoughts on the objectives for the upcoming season.
On the transfer market: “Why did we bring Pavan back to Como Women? The answer is simple: she’s a strong player, and that’s the main reason. I’ve known her for many years — I strongly wanted her at Inter back then, and it’s a pleasure to have her with us again now. She just needs to find her calm and composure to express her full potential. If she’s happy, I’m confident she can contribute a lot. The most important thing is that she feels good — the rest will follow naturally.
As for Lehmann, we were looking for a forward to complete our attacking unit. When her name came up, we didn’t hesitate. She has qualities that perfectly match the needs of this team — very different from the other players in our squad. After a brief discussion with Coach Sottili, we quickly decided to bring her to Como.”
On the season’s objectives: “Our goal is to build continuity with the work done last season, during which — in our view — the team showed both solidity and growth. The confirmation of most of the coaching staff, starting with the head coach, along with many members of the squad, reflects this approach.
We want to consolidate what we’ve built and look to improve on it further. How far can we go? It’s too early to say. We know we are a young club, in a league that is constantly evolving — where both the big teams and many of the smaller ones are growing and investing. We need to keep our feet on the ground and continue working with professionalism and determination, following the path we’ve started on.”
