La Cronaca

In the 9th minute, Como Women created the first chance of the match. Bernardi tried her luck from the edge of the box, but her effort went narrowly over the crossbar. Three minutes later, the Larian side threatened again, this time through Nielsen, who shot from the right side of the penalty area, narrowly missing the near post guarded by Ceasar. In the 17th minute, Nischler attempted to catch Ceasar off guard with a delicate chip from around 25 metres, but failed to find the target. In the 19th minute, Como Women’s bench used a review card to ask the referee to check a possible foul on Bernardi inside the penalty area. After reviewing the incident, the referee upheld the original on-field decision and allowed play to continue. Parma’s first attempt came in the 24th minute, when Distefano tried her luck from distance. Her shot, however, was straight at Gilardi, who made a comfortable save. In the 29th minute, another opportunity came for Tramezzani’s side: Marcussen found Nischler on the edge of the box, and the forward attempted a first-time outside-foot shot, but her effort lacked power and was too central. In the 38th minute, Parma threatened through a cross from the left, which Lobo met with a header, sending the ball just wide. In the 41st minute, Parma’s bench called for a FVS review over a possible sending-off offence by Ronan. Following the review, the referee confirmed the yellow card previously shown to the American player. The first half of Parma-Como Women ended goalless, with the score at 0-0.

Parma started the second half on the front foot, creating an immediate opportunity through Healy. Como Women lost possession in midfield, allowing Ekic to take advantage and quickly play in her teammate, who found herself one-on-one with Gilardi and got a shot away. However, the Como Women goalkeeper did well to make the save. In the 57th minute, Parma came close to taking the lead through Tomaselli, who found herself one-on-one with Gilardi inside the box and attempted to beat her with a delicate chip. Her effort, however, struck the post. The home side took the lead in the 61st minute through Distefano, who capitalised on a back-pass from Nesbeth. One-on-one with Gilardi, she made no mistake, beating the Como Women goalkeeper with a low shot to make it 1-0 for Sottili’s side. In the 69th minute, Como Women tried to respond through captain Nischler, who turned on the edge of the box and unleashed a right-footed shot that went narrowly wide. In the 75th minute, the substitutions brought fresh energy to the Larian side. Chidiac fired a low shot from the edge of the box, which Ceasar parried. Berisha went for the rebound, but the Parma goalkeeper once again did well to deny the Como Women number 11. Just a minute later, Berisha had another chance to equalise. Following a Bergersen effort that was blocked by the defence, the number 11 found herself with the ball inside the box but failed to hit the target, sending her shot high over the crossbar. In the closing stages, Como Women pushed forward in search of an equaliser. Among the most dangerous attempts, Nischler fired a right-footed effort from distance in the 78th minute, narrowly wide of the left post. In the 86th minute, the Como Women captain threatened again with another right-footed shot from outside the box, but Ceasar was alert and made the save just under the crossbar. Bergersen also tried her luck in stoppage time, but the score remained unchanged.

After three positive results in a row, Como Women’s run came to an end in Parma, as they suffered a narrow defeat.

Como Women’s next league fixture will take place on Sunday, 15 November, at 3:00 pm, when Paolo Tramezzani’s side face Como 1907 in Erba.
