Match Report
Como Women create their first real chance in the 15th minute, when Nischler, following a lay-off from Madsen, attempts a shot from the edge of the box but fails to hit the target. The breakthrough, however, comes just seconds later: Kramzar rises highest in the six-yard box and heads home a precise cross from the left by Bergersen to make it 1–0. For the Slovenian midfielder, it is her third consecutive league goal.
Lazio respond in the 26th minute with the equaliser by Karczewska, who capitalises on a defensive error from the Como back line. The Biancoceleste forward goes one-on-one with Gilardi and finishes left-footed from the edge of the area with a central shot that restores parity.
In the 36th minute, Como Women come close to retaking the lead as Berisha, through on goal, is denied by Karresmaa, whose decisive save deflects the ball onto the post. Just moments later, at the other end, Lazio hit the crossbar with a long-range effort from Martin. Within the space of a minute, both sides strike the woodwork, making for an action-packed end to the first half, which finishes 1–1.
After the break, Como Women push forward again and in the 60th minute threaten from a corner kick. In the crowded penalty area, Nischler is unable to get a shot away, and the ball is worked out to Chidiac on the edge of the box. The Australian strikes first time, but her effort flies over the crossbar.
Another big chance arrives in the 70th minute: substitute Pinther breaks free down the left and fires a dangerous low cross into the six-yard box, where Kramzar meets it first time, narrowly missing the target.
Two minutes later, the referee is called to the FVS following appeals from the Como bench for a possible goal and a suspected handball. In the build-up, Picchi shoots right-footed from the right side of the six-yard box, forcing a save from the goalkeeper as the ball hits the post and remains on the goal line before being cleared by Mesjasz. On the rebound, Chidiac’s follow-up effort appears to be deflected by an arm inside the area. After reviewing the entire action on the monitor, the referee decides not to award either a goal or a penalty and allows play to continue.
Como Women continue to apply pressure and in the 84th minute come close once more, as Nischler, set up by Kramzar, fires a right-footed shot from inside the six-yard box, only to be denied by another fine save from Karresmaa.
Late on, in the 89th minute, the Lariane threaten again from a free kick: Cecotti’s shot is blocked by the wall, and from the rebound Marcussen strikes first time from distance, narrowly missing the goal. In the following action, Lazio respond with Visentin, who attempts a curling shot from the edge of the area but sends it wide.
In the final minutes, Lazio also request an FVS review for a possible penalty, but once again the referee waves play on. The match ends in a 1–1 draw.
With this result, their second draw in the last three matches, Como Women move up to 17 points in the standings. The next fixture for Sottili’s side will be on Saturday 7 February at 3:00 p.m. at the Ferruccio Stadium in Seregno, where they will face Juventus.
