On the afternoon of Friday, 27 February, a delegation from Como Women visited the travelling exhibition Paolo Rossi & The Football Legends, hosted by the Municipality of Como at San Pietro in Atrio.
The exhibition pays tribute to the extraordinary career of Paolo Rossi, retracing the most significant milestones of his journey: from his early beginnings to the legendary victory at the 1982 FIFA World Cup, when his goals led Italy to claim their third world title. An emotional journey that culminates with the individual honours he received in that unforgettable year – the Golden Boot and the Ballon d’Or – symbols of an era that forever shaped the history of Italian football.

The visit proved to be a moment of great significance for the Club, an opportunity to pay tribute to one of the most iconic figures in Italian football and to strengthen the bond between the region’s sporting tradition and the increasingly prominent present of the women’s football movement.
“Paolo Rossi represented an extraordinary example, not only as a great professional but also as a man,” said CEO Nicola Verdun. “I am particularly pleased to have had the opportunity to accompany our players and staff on this meaningful occasion. I hope it was a highly valuable experience for them as well, capable of conveying an important lesson both from a sporting and a human perspective.”
