Davide Borin’s analysis

“We asked the players for intensity and consistency in their performance, and in part we saw what we wanted. In the first half we interpreted the game exactly as we had prepared during the week, showing the right attitude and creating several chances.

Certainly, in terms of intensity and game management, we could have done better in the second half in several aspects. It’s something we had already worked on after the match against Genoa, and we will continue to do so, because growth comes through these kinds of situations.

Despite the two penalties awarded to Ternana, the team did well to stay balanced and composed, without suffering too much. Overall, we showed good things in the attacking phase, both in creating and finishing chances, but we still need to improve in ball management and in handling different moments of the game.

Now we need to turn the page and focus on the next challenge against Milan. From Tuesday we’ll be back to work, fully aware that we’ll be facing a team in great form, with quality players and strong performances. However, we must remain focused on our principles and keep building consistency in our path.”

Giulia Rizzon’s words

“It was important to get this win on a difficult pitch, against a team we knew would play with great determination and intensity. The final result reflects what was seen on the field, and I believe no one can argue with that.

We’re sorry not to have kept a clean sheet — it’s an area we still need to work on a lot. We handled the situation of the two penalties well without losing control, and that shows our progress. During the week we had talked a lot with the coach after the match against Genoa, and today the improvement was clear: we started the second half better and were more balanced.

It’s true, there were a few lapses today as well and we paid for them, but the important thing is to keep improving and growing as a team. This is the right path.”
