Serie A Women Athora, pre-match statements ahead of Fiorentina-Como Women

Como Women will face Fiorentina in the match valid for the 20th round of the Serie A Women Athora, scheduled for tomorrow at 3:00 PM at the Stadio Curva Fiesole – Viola Park in Florence. On the eve of the match, Como Women head coach Paolo Tramezzani spoke to the media.

“Compared to the last match against Parma, tomorrow will be a different game: Fiorentina are a team built for important objectives, different from ours, and they are ahead of us in the standings. But every time we have faced teams of this level, we have shown that we are up to it, so I expect a strong performance.”

He then turned his attention to the standings and the team’s season so far: “With three matches to go, it’s great to still be there, close to teams fighting for Europe. This table reflects the excellent journey these players have been on since day one of the season. Being close to clubs like Milan, Fiorentina, Napoli, Lazio and Juventus means this team is doing something important. I recognize that because they are extraordinary players and they show it every day.”

About the desire to return to winning ways: “There is a real desire to win again, because everything we do is aimed at getting three points. We have always tried to win our matches, so yes, the win is missing. But it’s not a burden at the moment: I can recognize when things are going one way or another, regardless of results. It would be nice, for everything they are doing, for them to experience that feeling of victory again, which rewards you in terms of points and the standings.”

Finally, about possible lineup choices: “There could be some changes. We don’t have a large squad, but everyone trains very well, both those who play more and those who play less. They are always showing they are ready, so in these last three matches there could be more space for those who have had fewer minutes.”
