Match Report

The first real chance of the match came in the 18th minute, when Paz found the back of the net for Inter from a cross by Tomaselli on the left flank, but the goal was ruled out for offside. In the 31st minute, Capelletti was called into action on a low strike from Tomaselli on the right side of the box aimed at the near post: the Como Women goalkeeper, making her debut for the club, pushed the ball away for a corner kick.

The visitors took the lead in the 37th minute: Nischler won possession on the left wing, drove into the penalty area and squared the ball to Bernardi, who beat the Inter defence to score from around the penalty spot. It was the striker’s second league goal of the season. Como Women doubled their advantage in the 43rd minute when Vaitukaityte played Nischler through on goal and the forward fired a precise low shot from the edge of the area past the Inter goalkeeper. The first half ended with Como Women holding a two-goal lead.

The second half began with Como Women scoring again in the 53rd minute, once more through the combination of Bernardi and Nischler. Bernardi did brilliantly to pressure the Inter goalkeeper, win the ball back and deliver a precise cross from the right onto Nischler’s head for the 3-0. It was the midfielder’s tenth league goal of the season.

Inter tried to get back into the game with a couple of chances for Wullaert. The first came in the 61st minute with a right-footed effort from the centre of the box that was deflected behind for a corner, while the second arrived in the 64th minute with a strike from outside the area that Capelletti did well to push away, denying the Belgian forward.

In the 85th minute, Como Women nearly added a fourth goal through Berisha, whose right-footed shot forced Ivarsdottir into a save before the ball struck the post and rolled along the goal line without crossing it. One minute later, Inter came close to scoring when Csiszar, left unmarked in the box, glanced a header just wide of the outside of the post.

In the 87th minute, Bergersen produced a fine run before unleashing a low shot from 25 metres that went narrowly wide of the post. The match ended 3-0 in favour of Paolo Tramezzani’s side, who closed out the season with an away victory.
