n the 19th minute, Napoli registered the first shot of the match as Floe attempted a long-range effort, but the ball went wide without troubling the goalkeeper. In the 26th minute, Gilardi produced a superb save, tipping Bellucci’s curling shot away from the top corner to deny Napoli the lead. At the 32-minute mark, Como Women found the net through Vaitukaityte, who rose highest to head home from a corner kick. However, the referee spotted a foul in attack and disallowed the goal; after an on-field review, the decision was confirmed. In the 45th minute, Gilardi came up with another outstanding intervention: following a corner kick, the Como goalkeeper saved Floe’s header on the goal line, once again preventing Napoli from taking the lead. The first half ended goalless.
Como Women started the second half strongly and, in the 47th minute, Pavan burst down the left flank before delivering a low cross into the box for Nischler, whose close-range effort was cleared off the line by Beretta. Two minutes later, the hosts came close again as Bernardi fired over the bar from near the penalty spot. Moments later, Bergersen had another chance for the opener after good work from Nischler down the right, but the Norwegian failed to make proper contact and could not hit the target. In the 63rd minute, Floe threatened with a right-footed shot from the middle of the box, but Gilardi comfortably gathered the central effort. At the 70th minute, Pavan tried her luck from distance, but her shot sailed well over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Gilardi was forced off after a goal kick and was replaced by Ruma in goal for Como Women. It marked the goalkeeper’s first Serie A Women appearance this season, her last outing dating back to the home match against Juventus in the 2024/2025 season, which ended 4-1 in favour of the Bianconere. In the 82nd minute, Nischler had another opportunity but her right-footed strike from outside the area failed to hit the target. Deep into stoppage time, Chidiac came agonisingly close to scoring with a low drive from the edge of the box that narrowly missed the post to Beretta’s left. Right at the end, Ruma made a crucial save from a free kick, tipping Kozak’s effort away from the top corner. The match ultimately finished 0-0, with both goalkeepers playing starring roles throughout the contest.
Como Women’s next league fixture will be against Inter at the Arena Civica in Milan, in the final match of the season scheduled for the weekend of May 16.
