Towards Como Women–Parma Women: pre-match statements
Como Women return to action after the international break for their home match against Parma Women, valid for Round 19 of the Serie A Women Athora. Kick-off is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30 pm at the Ferruccio Stadium in Seregno.
On the eve of the match, Como Women head coach Paolo Tramezzani said:
“The match against Roma gave us a lot of confidence: if we play the way we did against them, as I told the girls, we’re on the right path, because it was a real performance in every aspect. That’s what we want to build on.
Over these two weeks, we’ve worked as we always do, trying to improve certain aspects of our style of play and how we approach matches. These have been useful days to keep growing. I’ve had the full squad available since this week and I found the players as I always do: serious, professional, united. They get on well together, they share a lot on the pitch and it shows, because they play as a team. Physically they’re in good condition, although at this stage of the season some evaluations are necessary, as is the case for all teams after a demanding campaign. It’s been an important season in which we’ve achieved some great results, and our aim is to finish it in the best possible way and make the most of what the players have done over these months.
Against Parma, I expect continuity. We’re coming off away matches against strong, well-structured sides like Milan and Roma, where we showed we can compete with anyone. I want to see a Como Women side that continues along this path: a team that is difficult to face, that makes life hard for opponents, and that plays with character and personality.”
