At the “Moreno Gubbiotti” Stadium in Narni (TR), Como Women made their Serie A Women Athora 2026/27 debut away against Ternana Women. Tramezzani’s side secured all three points with a 2-1 victory, thanks to an own goal by Martins and the decisive strike from Nielsen, who scored her first goal in a Como Women shirt.

Before kick-off, Como Women’s starting XI held up the shirt of Ginevra D’Agostino, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury earlier this week and will undergo surgery in the coming days.

Match report

Como Women took the lead in the 8th minute following an attack down the left. Bernardi delivered a dangerous ball into the box, which took an unfortunate deflection off Martins. The Ternana Women player, attempting to intervene, inadvertently sent the ball into her own net, leaving Ciccioli with no chance. In the 19th minute, Como Women came close to doubling their lead. Nielsen capitalised on a Ternana mistake on the edge of the box and tried her luck, but her effort went wide. Ternana Women equalised in the 32nd minute. The hosts broke forward quickly, with Pastrenge setting up Hornemann, who found herself one-on-one with Gilardi and made no mistake to level the score at 1-1. The goal was initially ruled out for offside, but was subsequently awarded following a review on the monitor using the FVS.

The first half ended 1-1.

Como Women started the second half strongly and immediately threatened through Nielsen, who was played in by Nischler. She turned well inside the box to get ahead of the Rossoverdi defence, but her effort was deflected behind for a corner. In the 50th minute, the Lariane threatened again, this time through Nischler. The midfielder received the ball inside the box and tried to dribble past the Ternana defence, but her shot was once again deflected for a corner. The winning goal arrived just a minute later. In the 51st minute, Nielsen scored her first goal for Como Women. Following a fine combination on the left between Ronan and Nesbeth, the latter produced a dangerous cross into the box. Nielsen rose highest and headed the ball into the corner to put Como Women back in front. In the 81st minute, Como Women came close to a third goal. Nischler picked up the ball on the edge of the box and fired towards goal, but her effort was straight at Ciccioli, who made a comfortable save. Ternana Women came close to an equaliser in the 88th minute following a corner. Martins met Pacioni’s flick-on with a header, but was unable to find the target.

Como Women held on to their lead in the closing stages to secure all three points. The final whistle confirmed a 2-1 victory for the Lariane, who begin their league campaign with a win.
