F.C. Como Women are pleased to announce the signing of Selma Igesund Saga, a Norwegian defender born in 2009.

The player joins the club on a permanent basis, signing a contract until June 2028, with an option for the 2029 season.

In her young career, Saga has worn the shirts of Store Bergan Fotball, where she took her first steps in football, and Sandefjord Fotball Kvinner. She has also made 13 appearances for Norway’s youth national teams, scoring two goals. In October 2025, she took part in the European qualifiers with the Norway Women’s U17 national team.

“I am very happy and excited for the opportunity given to me by Como Women, where I will have the chance to grow both as a footballer and as a person,” said Saga in her first words as an F.C. Como Women player. “Living in Italy has always been a dream of mine, and having the opportunity to learn about the culture, the language and the Italian way of life through this amazing group means a lot to me.”

“I want to contribute to the group both on and off the pitch and make my debut in Serie A Women. On a personal level, I hope to make the most of this opportunity by learning from more experienced players and from the staff around us. As a team, I expect us to grow together and achieve good results in line with our objectives.”
