Serie A Women's Cup, Inter-Como Women: post-match statements

Here are the post-match comments from head coach Stefano Sottili and Alisha Lehmann following Como Women’s first win of the season.
Stefano Sottili’s analysis
"We created a lot again today, although we made some mistakes in fairly simple situations. Aside from the opening part of the first half, I saw a different attitude, especially in how we won the ball back and fought in individual duels.
It’s true that, in terms of standings, this match wasn’t decisive for us — but it was still an official game against a top team like Inter. Putting in another positive performance, after those against Fiorentina and Genoa, is definitely a step forward.
A reflection after these three matches? We need to become better at making the most of what we create on the pitch, because only then can strong performances be turned into positive results. In the end, everything comes down to the final score. We know we have to work at full intensity at all times — we’re not a team that can afford to slow down or take things lightly. We can’t be satisfied with possession for its own sake if it doesn’t help us move forward and take control of the game.
There’s a clear awareness that we still have room for improvement, and that should push us to raise our level even more — especially during training sessions — as we prepare for the start of the league season."
Words from Alisha Lehmann
"I'm really happy for my first goal in this shirt, but above all for the win, which came thanks to the hard work of the entire team. We ran and fought for every ball throughout the match — we should all be proud, not just of the result, but of the performance as well.
When we play with this kind of hunger, with this spirit, and above all when we play for each other like a real team, the results will come. That’s exactly what we need to keep building — both within the squad and in the environment around us — through a spirit of sacrifice.
I truly believe this is the right path to becoming a great team. And if I can help my teammates by bringing in my experience, I’ll always do it with complete commitment and willingness."
