Miriam Picchi’s words
On the result: “We knew it was going to be a tough and competitive match. We were facing a team that needs points in the relegation battle, so we expected a difficult game. We tried to take all three points, but unfortunately we only came away with one. There is a bit of regret because we could have done more, especially in front of goal. Still, it’s a useful result and now we’re already focusing on the next match.”
On reaching 150 Serie A appearances: “I’m very happy about this milestone. When I look back, I think about the little girl who dreamed of achieving these goals, and now she is living them.”

“We faced an opponent with the clear objective of securing survival, and they are doing everything they can to achieve it through performances, intensity, speed and character. What makes me happy is that in the areas where they are usually strong, we managed to match them. Determination, sacrifice and commitment: in the long runs, pressing and ball recoveries, the players gave everything, and that’s the aspect that satisfies me the most.
We are coming from three consecutive matches without conceding a goal, and that is another important point to highlight. Even today we didn’t really risk much. In fact, among the last three matches this was probably the one where we risked the least and where Laura Gilardi was called into action the least. We defended very well, especially outside the edge of the penalty area. I’m convinced this team still has great room for improvement. Once again today, everyone who played gave everything, and the same goes for those who came on during the match.
I’m also happy for Picchi, who today reached 150 appearances in Serie A, starting from the first minute and playing a very good match until the end. These are important signs because they show that the players are always ready. Those who come on deserve my trust, and that’s why I’m very happy to coach them and to be here with this team.”
