F.C. Como Women Strengthens Its Youth Academy
F.C. Como Women is pleased to announce the appointment of Marco Dessì as Head of the Youth Academy and Head Coach of the Under-19 team, alongside the new role of Leonardo Gitti as Operations Manager.
Photo credits: Como WomenThroughout his career, Dessì has held several key positions within the FIGC, including serving as a scout for the Women’s National Teams, Regional Technical Development Manager for Liguria, youth coach for the Women’s National Team, and technical staff member of the national Under-15 Calcio+ project.
At Como Women, he will oversee the technical and educational pathway of the Youth Academy, contributing to the implementation of a shared playing methodology and a consistent football identity across all youth teams. His appointment marks another important step in the Club's ongoing commitment to strengthening and enhancing its Youth Academy, with the aim of creating an increasingly structured, professional, and development-focused environment for young female players.

In this position, he will oversee the organisational, administrative, and logistical aspects of the department, ensuring operational efficiency while providing continuous support to the Academy's daily activities and fostering effective collaboration between the technical staff, players, and their families.
