F.C. Como Women are delighted to announce the signing of Italian midfielder Flaminia Simonetti, who has joined the Club on a contract running until 30 June 2028.

Born in Rome on 17 February 1997, Simonetti brings extensive international experience and a career spent at the highest level of Italian women's football. With Italy's Under-17 national team, she won bronze medals at both the 2014 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship and the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. She also represented Italy at Under-19 level before making her senior international debut on 26 November 2021 against Switzerland in the qualifiers for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, earning a total of eight caps between 2021 and 2022.

Simonetti began her football journey in Rome with A.S.D. G.T.M. before joining the youth academy of Roma CF, where she made her Serie A debut during the 2010/11 season. Following the club's relegation, she moved to Res Roma, helping the team earn promotion back to Serie A and spending several seasons with the club, including a fifth-place league finish in 2016/17 and two Coppa Italia semi-final appearances.

In 2018, she joined AS Roma before spending a season on loan at Empoli, where she helped the club secure top-flight survival. In 2020, she moved to Inter, initially on loan before completing a permanent transfer, remaining with the Nerazzurre for four seasons. She joined Lazio in July 2024 and scored twice in a 3-2 Coppa Italia victory over Juventus in January 2026.

"I'm very happy to be here. From the very beginning, I felt the trust the Club showed in me. They wanted me here and made me feel part of a project I believed in straight away," Simonetti said in her first interview as a Como Women player. "I'm joining Como Women with great enthusiasm and with the desire to put my experience at the service of the team, giving my very best every single day."

Welcome to Como Women, Flaminia!
