On the morning of Wednesday, March 25, a delegation from F.C. Como Women visited the Liceo Artistico Fausto Melotti in Cantù (CO).

The guests and key speakers of the meeting with the students were first-team players Miriam Picchi and Alessia Capelletti, who shared their sporting and personal journeys.

The discussion began with a direct exchange with the students, during which the players reflected on key moments of their adolescence, focusing in particular on balancing school commitments, sporting activity, and personal life. They highlighted both the challenges of managing these aspects and the growth path that ultimately led them to compete in Serie A.

Throughout the meeting, the players spoke openly about the difficulties they encountered along their journey, while also emphasizing the determination, commitment, and passion that enabled them to overcome obstacles and establish themselves at a professional level. Significant attention was also given to the importance of the team and the locker room environment—key elements not only for sporting development but also for personal growth—as well as to the issue of stereotypes surrounding women’s football.

The Club would like to thank the institute, Principal Anna Proserpio, and Elena Cascarano—former footballer and current Physical Education teacher at the Liceo Melotti—for making this meeting possible.
