Como, August 12, 2025 “I'm ready to make a difference and help this team push beyond its limits — on and off the pitch.” With these words, Alisha Lehmann begins her new chapter with F.C. Como Women. The Swiss forward joined on a permanent transfer from Juventus, signing a three-year contract until June 30, 2028.

The move marks a strategic step forward both in her career and in the Club’s journey, combining sporting ambition with long-term vision. “This club wants to build something that lasts,” Lehmann said upon her arrival.

Speaking about her decision to join the Club, she explained: “What immediately struck me about F.C. Como Women was the vision. It’s not just a club that wants to win — it’s a project that aims to change the rules of the game, on and off the pitch. Here, football, identity, style, and ambition come together in a way I had never seen before. I felt like this was the right place to truly express who I am, both as an athlete and as a person.”

One of the most recognized faces in international women’s football, Lehmann joins a club that is quickly establishing itself as one of the most exciting teams in Europe — independent, ambitious, and entirely built around a women-led vision.

Speaking about the Club’s unique philosophy, she added: “I know it’s a young club, but with a very clear sense of purpose. It’s not afraid to do things differently — and to me, that’s a sign of strength. F.C. Como Women wants to become a benchmark in women’s football, not just in Italy but across Europe & the world. It’s a project that blends sport, fashion, culture, and real values — and I believe that’s exactly what women’s football needs right now.”

Career Highlights

Lehmann began her career in Switzerland, making her top-flight debut with Young Boys Frauen in 2016. She later moved to England, playing in the FA Women’s Super League for West Ham, Everton, and Aston Villa, collecting over 100 appearances, 19 goals, and 10 assists. With the Swiss National Team, she scored her first international goal in 2018 and has taken part in the 2023 World Cup and two European Championships.

In the 2024/25 season, she won both the Serie A title and Coppa Italia with Juventus. Now, she brings that winning mindset to Como, joining a project that values not only performance but also identity and impact.

Speaking about joining an independent club, she said: “It’s the first time I’ve joined an independent club — not linked to a men’s team. That was an important factor in my decision. It shows that there’s a different way to approach football, and maybe it can inspire others to follow this path. I want to be part of that.”

Discussing her personal and professional goals, she explained: “Here, I can grow both as a footballer and as a person. I want to help the team compete at the highest level, but also inspire a new generation of fans and athletes. F.C. Como Women is a space where you don’t have to choose between being strong on the pitch and being yourself off it. Here, I can be all of who I am — and turn that into something positive, especially for those watching.”

Reflecting on her recent international experience, she added, “The Euros put you up against the very best in European football, and every experience like that helps you grow. I’ve learned even more about the importance of mindset, preparation, and teamwork. I bring with me the drive to keep improving and to give something extra here at Como.”

And on the growth of the Italian game: “Women’s football in Italy is going through a very exciting time. There’s so much passion and growing visibility. I believe Italy has everything it takes to become a reference point in Europe — and F.C. Como Women can play an important role in that transformation. I’m happy to be here and to be part of it.”
