Primavera 2 Championship, Como Women-Como 1907 1-3

In Group A of the Primavera 2 Championship, Como Women’s U19 team was defeated at home by Como 1907 with a score of 3–1. For Como Women, Gelbhart scored from the penalty spot.

These were the head coach Riccardo Panzeri's words and comments after the match:
“I believe the result does not fully reflect what we saw on the pitch. They did well to take advantage of our lapses on set pieces and our mistakes in build-up play, and against teams of this level, those moments make the difference. However, the girls’ performance was far from negative: especially in the first half, we went behind without a real reason, but that’s football — details, reading of situations, and key moments shape the game. We were unable to score during our best spell, while they found the net during theirs. Towards the end, we could even have reopened the match, but that’s part of the game. It’s also true that throughout the season we have struggled to read key moments and have often approached matches in the same way. What’s disappointing is the forced substitutions: some players were not feeling well, and I had to replace them, so I couldn’t make tactical changes to try to shift the momentum of the game. In any case, I have nothing to reproach the team for: the performance was there, and the intensity never lacked.”

The Primavera’s next match will be on Saturday, April 25, away against Lumezzane.
