Primavera 2 Championship, Como Women beat Lumezzane 6–0

In Group A of the Primavera 2 Championship, at the “Carlo Tavecchio” Municipal Stadium in Ponte Lambro (Como), the Primavera side overwhelmed Lumezzane 6–0 thanks to goals from Gelbhart and Cappellano (both with braces), Ursillo and Corioni.

After the match, head coach Riccardo Panzeri analyzed the game as follows:

“We approached the match very well, in line with our recent performances. This is a team that’s working extremely well, and I’ve been saying that for some time. Today we managed to capitalize on some of the chances we create right from the start: the 3–0 lead at halftime already shows the authority with which we interpreted this match. There was no contest today because we were superior in every aspect. I’m also pleased with the goals from set pieces, because it’s something we work on a lot with the staff and the players, so seeing them focused and well-drilled was important. Players who hadn’t scored for a while also got on the scoresheet. The match was always under control, with contributions from all the players, who maintained intensity and followed the work prepared in training. Worth noting as well is the debut of a 2010-born player in an official league match. Now we keep working: the six goals don’t reflect all the chances we created, and in the final 30 meters we still need to improve.”
