The 2025/2026 season of Beyond, F.C. Como Women’s project dedicated to the personal and professional growth of its players both on and off the pitch, opened with a very special guest. Kicking off this year’s program was Daniele Cassioli, the most decorated Paralympic water ski athlete in history and now a trainer, coach, author, and a national reference point in the field of personal development. The event took place at the “Sport Village” training center in Cislago, in the presence of the First Team players and the technical and performance staff, officially launching a new season of shared learning and growth.

A conversation on identity, challenges, mindset, and life beyond football

During the panel, Cassioli shared a deep reflection on how one builds their identity, how to face difficulties, and how each obstacle can turn into an opportunity for growth—both in sport and in life. He devoted considerable time to the value of the group, underlining the importance of empathy, mutual support, and the ability to embrace differences to make a team stronger and more united. The discussion also touched on mindset, mistakes, and emotional management: for an athlete, growth means overcoming the fear of making mistakes, navigating both the highs and lows with balance, and continuing to work on oneself with consistency and responsibility.

The final part of the meeting focused on life beyond football, a central theme in the philosophy of the Beyond program. Cassioli encouraged the players to prepare early for future challenges, developing skills, cultivating passions, and keeping an open mind to professional opportunities. A message perfectly aligned with the mission of the project, which continues to guide Como Women players along a growth path that reaches far beyond the pitch.
